20 questions!!!!!

1. What's the nerdiest and/or weirdest thing about you?  Um maybe that I went to pharmacy camp in high school and LOVED IT!!!

 2. If you could live in a fictional universe from any book, movie, or television show, what would it be? Gilmore Girls for sure! LOVE their little town and all the people in it! Also Full House b/c well I just love Full House! J

3. Little or big, practical or frivolous, what are a few of your favorite items in your house?  LOOOOVE our big wood burning stove in our living room, love everything about Carlie’s nursery (even though its not done yet), and I WILL Love our new carpet that is coming in a few months!

4. Do you like animated movies? If so, what is your favorite? Yes! I love chick flicks or love stories! Anything with Julia Roberts!

5. What is your least favorite household chore? Ummmm everything?!? Ha! Really though dishes! I HATE dishes! Even though we have a dishwasher!

6. What's your favorite thing to get at Starbucks? If it’s the season Pumpkin Spice Latte, if not then hot chocolate J

7. What is your favorite pizza topping? Cheese or hamburger and mushroom

8. Waffles or pancakes? I love them both!

9. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A mommy….always

10. Do you prefer cooking or baking? Both I guess….I don’t have a working oven right now though so I can only cook stove top foods L

11. What would be your dream job? Be a stay at home mom!

12. Do you make your bed every morning? Um no….I wish I did but I’m usually in such a rush in the morning it just doesn’t happen! Maybe when I’m on maternity leave I will! I do on the weekends usually J

13. Picasso or Norman Rockwell? Norman I guess….I’m not a huge art person though

14. Do you like carpet, tile, or hardwood floors? Carpet for bedrooms ALWAYS, I prefer hardwood in the living, kitchen and dining (but we have carpet and tile), and tile in the bathrooms and laundry

15. What is your least favorite thing about yourself? Right now it would be excessively hairy tummy due to my dear daughter! They say it will go away pretty much as soon as she’s born though!

16. Last movie you watched?  Easy A was on Starz the other night!

17. Computer or Television? I prefer TV but you can’t surf the net on the TV! J

18. Favorite Sound? Sounds weird but the little moaning noises baby’s make….can’t wait to hear Carlie’s!

19. If you could have a $5000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be? I WAS going to say Gap b/c I LOOOOOOVE BabyGap and GapKids but I’m going to go with Amazon.com b/c I can get pretty much anything I want/need there!

20. If you could be any Jane Austen fictional character who would you choose (or if you would prefer any fictional character)? I don’t know any of Jane Austen’s characters! Ha! Sooo I would like to be…actually I can’t think of any really! I think Rory Gilmore is super cool but I wouldn’t want to be her, just be her friend J

32 weeks!

How far along? 32 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 17!!! HAHA I gained 6lbs in 2 weeks! I guess thats not THAT bad though, its supposed to be I think 2lbs per week and I gained 3 per week PLUS I had 3 HUGE holiday meals during that time!
Maternity clothes? Oh yea!
Sleep:I wake up a lot but I am still pretty rested!
Best moment this week: Just Carlie going crazy and really being able to tell the difference in her foot and bottom
Movement: She's going to be a gymnast!
Food cravings: None-I like Mexican a lot though, not that thats anything new!
Gender: It's a girl!!!!

Labor Signs: none really, I can definitely tell her head is low though!

Swappin' the Glitz!

Raven over at A Momma's Desires and Pacifiers and Lindsey at The Bargain Blonde hosted an amazing blog swap for Christmas! It was all about anything and everything SHINEY!!!! I got paired up with the amazing Lisa and she sent me the best package!!

The LOOT!!! It includes earrings, nail polish, lip gloss (I LOVE lip gloss!), an awesome sparkly pen that is partially covered (oops!), and a super cute necklace that I've worn several times already!!

         Lip gloss and chapstick!!! There is actually one missing, it's in the bottom of my Mary Poppins bag! But let me tell you that red color right there....is HOT! makes me feel like a hot mama! :)

 UGH! I wish it wasn't sideways!!! Who doesn't LOVE stilletos?!?! Especially glitter stilletos?! This went on my tree as soon as I opened the package!

 I tried to get a picture of the super cute necklace but it was hard! Trust me though, it's awesome!

Christmas Cards!!!

Just a very short post to show our Christmas card! Britt and Stephanie over at One Busy Bassoodle and the Agile Akita took Tyler and my Christmas pictures one freezing cold day! AND Miss Stephie designed our amazing cards! I LOVE them!!!! annnnnd here it is!!

30+ week post!!!

How far along? 30 weeks and 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: I said 15 last post but my doctor corrected me and said it was really 11....their scale was off so they had to get a new one :)
Maternity clothes? mostly everything is maternity or dresses or bigger sized shirts :)

Sleep:ehhh getting more difficult to get comfy but once I fall asleep I sleep pretty well!
Best moment this week: having Carlie go CRAZY the last few days! Especially on Tuesday evening Tyler was LOVING IT!!!
Movement: She's going to be a gymnast! Especially if she is a shawty like her mama! :)
Food cravings: none really, I did REALLLLY want lettuce tacos from Cheesecake Factory today and probably will want them BAD until I get them!
Gender: It's a girl!!!!
Labor Signs: none really....I little bit of back labor but it's not real labor
Belly Button in or out? it's an eveny ha! I don't really have a belly button right now!
What I miss: apparently I'm not supposed to sleep on my back so that!
What I am looking forward to: Has nothing to do with Carlie but our annual friends Christmas party is this weekend!! oh yea and I have my preadmissions appointment at the hospital and 32 week appointment with the doctor!!!
Weekly Wisdom:  when she gets in the ribs walk around to try to get her out! :) and the horrible back pain on the right side is mainly from her being in the ribs on the right side!
Milestones: only 9 weeks left!!! woohooo!!!! thats not really a milestone though :)

New kid on the block!

Yesterday one of my bestie's Melissa (and of course daddy Adam and big sister Briley) had Aubrey Ann Stauffer!!! Melissa was induced starting at about 8am and no real progress untill I believe 145ish when they broke her water at 3cm....she went from 3cm to 10cm in less than an hour and only pushed for 5 minutes!!! Aubrey was born at I believe 2:38pm on November 29th 2011 :) :) Melissa had no time for drugs since she progressed so fast! She definitely wanted them though but I am SOOOO proud of her for doing it without!

I just LOVE little Aubrey and am so happy to have baby Carlie's bff here! She is just perfect! Here are a couple pics from when I got to meet her last night!

BABY SHOWER!!!!

I had my first baby shower yesterday! My Aunt Dian and Aunt Debbie threw me my family shower in Colwich (Uncle Kurt and Aunt Dian's house) and it was great! Very simple and fairly small but I got a lot of great gifts!! A few of the gifts were

My mom text me and asked me to come over tonight once I got home from my work/my appointments...I kind of thought that was weird since she'd usually just text me or call or even email if she wanted a check (for insurance or phone since we still have joint) but I was like ok whatever! So I went....She asked me about my doctor's appointment and doted on how cute my new hairdo is blah blah blah....then she had to tell me something....dun dun dun.....

She got all teary eyed which of course makes me teary eyed which is unusual for me now that I'm pregnant I'm kind of a cold hearted bitch! (normally I'm SUPER sensitive). Anyway my Maggie May, Maggot the Faggot (I know HORRIBLE but whatev), Maggie Moo, or most of the time just Sisser died late last night at about 11pm :( She was MY dog, MINE all MINE  I didn't share her with anyone for the first 7 years of her life (we got her when I was about 12), she was my sister and my best friend, she helped me through breakups and all the trials and tribulations of middle school and high school and most traumatic my parents divorce right before my senior year of high school. After I left for college and my mom sold our house and moved into a new one that didn't have a fence at all we gave her to our family friends Missy, Roger, Emily, and Seth. Maggie LOVED it with them and they loved having her just as much! She had new kids to play with woohoo! And now she had TWO families to spoil her! They had her for about 6 or 7 years, but she was still MY dog and everytime we saw each other it was like we were never apart! She was just an amazing puppy!

I realize that she was WAY passed her time, boxers typically only live till 10 or 11 and she was 14!!! I knew this time would come soon, actually I am SO surprised it hadn't already come, but it still sucks and I'm still very upset. Partly maybe because I feel a little guilty....I almost feel like as soon as I bought this house with Tyler we should have taken her back, but really she had a new family she was with so it would've been bad for everyone! Maybe I should've been there in her final days, but that doesn't make sense b/c I can't just sit around with her and wait for her to die, it probably would've been a lot harder on all of us to see her like that!

Now I'm just rambling b/c my mind is going 1000 miles a minute! I'll attach a pic of her I have on this computer! She was so precious! My little Maggie May with her bear (the only stuffed object she didn't tear up!)  : )

RIP baby girl! You will be missed greatly and always loved!

28 weeks!!! 3rd Trimester!!! :)

Sleep: pretty good, I usually sleep on the couch so about 3 out of 7 nights I wake up a little stiff but its not big deal!
Best moment this week: Feeling Carlie! she's so active! she is already the coolest kid EVER!!!
Movement: lots of movement!! LOTS LOTS LOTS!!!! AND I just discovered this morning she LOVES country music! good thing since thats what is usually on!
Food cravings: none! I eat a lot of Mexican, pasta, and milk!

Creating a Beauty Monster!

Yesterday Melissa and I went to go get pedicures to try to get NoName to come out, apparently there are pressure points in the feet and ankles that CAN induce labor. We took Miss Briley with us so she could have a little big girl time before baby sister gets here. She has never had a mani or a pedi (she is only almost 5 so thats not that weird!) so Melissa got her both! She LOOOOVED them!!! especially the part of the pedicure where they massage your feet and legs with lotion! She got a pretty sparkly blue on her toenails, with flowers on her big toes and a sparkly pink on her fingernails with flowers (and diamonds!) on her thumb nails. I think we definitely created a little monster!! It was SO CUTE though!!! Here are just a couple not very good cell phone pics!

oh BTW the foot massage didn't work to get NoName out either! Melissa is getting an hour massage (her first!) today to try to help her along another way! :)

TWILIGHT!!!!

Last night (Friday the 18th) Melissa, Amanda, and I went to go see Breaking Dawn Part 1 at the AMC Fork and Screen for opening night! We were so excited and had been waiting a year for it to come out! (Just like every other Twilight fan!). We didn't get to pick our (assigned) seats so we were in the very front at the very end :( boo!

We got sat down about 30ish minutes before the previews started and ordered our food. I got Thai Bang shrimp tacos, they were amazing!!!! We also got crab rangoon dip which was SO GOOD! and I was super daring and got a Coke (I try to limit my caffiene as much as possible b/c of baby Carlie!). Anyway we were just eating and talking, minding our own business and the theater lady came up and asked for our tickets, we all pulled out our ticket stubs which looked like this

Can you see that?!?!?! They say they are for SATURDAY THE 19TH!!!!!! We had the right seats just the wrong day! I about died!!! There were 4 ladies that were supposed to sit there and were deciding on if they wanted those seats or not (ya know since they were so crappy). Thank God they decided to just go to the regular theater and not the Fork and Screen! We got to stay!!! WOOHOOO!!!! There is one plus to having crappy seats! No one else wants them!! haha!

Anyway after our little scare we got to enjoy the movie and it was AMAZING! We can't wait till part 2 comes out in a year!! After the movie Melissa got REALLY sick in the bathroom :( we thought she was going into labor! But no dice, baby NoName is still not here :( hopefully soon though! I can't wait to meet her and for her to have a name!!!

Legs

Tyler just got back from hunting yesterday (Tuesday), he goes out to Western Kansas with our good friend Rick and his family and friends. He typically goes every year but b/c of work he wasn't able to go the last 2 years :( He LOVES it and they have a great time! Especially when they can get a lot of birds!! The limit is 4 birds per day, they hunt for 3 days so the max he could get would be 12, but because it was SO HOT and SO DRY out there this summer there just wasn't a ton of birdies around. He ended up with 6, which I actually think is plenty for us!!

I got home from work last night and was going to get in the fridge to get Ty a glass of milk for dinner (to go with our Chipotle of course!) and this is what I see......

Yep thats pheasant legs, breasts and feet with nails!!!! I about puked!!! I was like ummmmm could you not at least COVER IT?!!?!? shortly after though he finish cleaning them (taking the feet off and getting the bullets out) and put them in the freezer!

24/25 weeks!

SOOOO the pictures are from 24 weeks but the stats are from 25 weeks b/c I just had my appt yesterday! :)

Sleep: It's ok, I get a lot warmer in the night but thats ok b/c it's getting chilly outside and I'm usually pretty cold blooded!
Best moment this week: Seeing baby Carlie at the appt again! AND picking out her bedding fabric! :)
Movement: lots of movement!! LOTS LOTS LOTS!!!! She is a nutso!
Food cravings: none! I just like food, pasta, Mexican, whatev! :)

Labor Signs: not really, I THOUGHT I had a couple braxton hicks about a week ago but haven't felt anything since!

Weekly Wisdom: um none?
Milestones: no real milestones other than I finally gained weight! my doctor said I HAD to gain some by this time and boy did I ever! ha!

-Carlie was so big we couldn't get a good picture of her on the sonogram but I do have one new pic!
-I am measuring 23 1/2 weeks and Miss Carlie is measuring right at 25 weeks....she's going to be a big girl!
-eat more veggies and fruit...hard to do!! but I'll make it work!
-glucose test next time!
-after next appt (28weeks) I will be on my every 2 weeks appts!!!! It's going faaast!

Time for another birthday!!

Yesterday was my birthday and it was a great day! It started at work when the guys took care of my birthday maddness there. I FULLY expected to go in to work to nothing done for my bday b/c the girls had been MIA all week and they are the ones who put it all together usually. Well I was SO WRONG! I walked in to my desk decorated (w/ red and blue balloons), seafood salsa (my FAVORITE dip), Salsa Verde, deer sausage, and drinks, and THEN my friend Jaime brought me an amazing piece of Hersey's chocolate cheesecake from the cheesecake factory and my other friends Claude and Derrick got me a whole Cheesecake Factory red velvet cheesecake!

Then yesterday on my actual birthday Melissa, Briley, and I went to the Maple Leaf Festival in Baldwin. I LOVE the Maple Leaf! Lots of good food and awesome crafts! We had a sliced apple with AMAZING homemade warm carmel! YUM-O! :) I unfortuneately didn't find any crafts or decorations I really liked, I was kind of bummed about that! Then Tyler took me to dinner at Olive Garden and to babies-r-us to get Carlie's carseat!!!

After all that it was time for my Grandma Lila's big 77th birthday!!! Which is today. I picked Adam up in Lawrence and we were on our way to Hutch by 8am! We had a big party for her at her rehab center and she was SO EXCITED! It was really cute to see how excited she was, almost like a little kid! Uncle Monte and mom made pulled pork sandwiches and we had all the sides! Mom made white cupcakes (b/c thats what Grandma wanted!) and we had ice cream. It was great to see the family and my grandma! She's getting a lot better, still has off days but all in all she's improving! Here is the only picture I got of her birthday on my phone at least!

Sleep: Still ok, back hurts when I wake up about 50% of the time but it's not totally unbearable and its definitely worth it!
Best moment this week: When Carlie kicked her daddy for the first time!!
Movement: lots of movement!! Still mainly at night but she's getting more active during the day! She likes to eat! Going crazy everytime I eat!
Food cravings: none! I just like food, pasta, Mexican, whatev! :)
Gender: It's a girl!!!!
Labor Signs: none :)

Miss Carlie finally kicked for her daddy last night!! I think I was more excited than he was! I asked him if it was weird or if he thought it was cool, his response was "Well I knew it would happen sometime, you just have to be patient!" UMMM buddy thats what I've been telling you for 3 weeks! EVERYTIME she would be kicking hard enough to feel/see her on the outside he would try to feel her and she would stop! He would only keep his hand there for like a minute(b/c he's inpatient) and she would start again once his hand was gone!! Anyway she's very active now! I LOVE IT! and can't wait to meet her! Only about 17 weeks left!!! :)

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

We had a doctors appointment today and found out we are having a baby Carlie!!!! We are so very excited!! Tyler was pretty quiet for a while and just said "oh man, I'm in trouble!" haha! He will be wrapped around her little finger soon enough! All I will be good for is a feeding! Ha!

WEDDING BELLS !!!!

My BFF Stephanie got married this Saturday! It was an amazingly beautiful wedding at an awesome venue and Stephie looked gorgeous! I'm SO happy for them and so happy that Britt has come into her life, and of course into mine because of that. He is an amazing guy and SO GOOD to her! I LOVE watching them interact, he is so attentive to her, that makes me extremely happy and proud of her that she found someone just as amazing as she is to spend her life with :)

10 years later....

As an American I will NEVER forget where I was when I heard about the terrorists attacks in NYC, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon. Mrs. Brummits English class, Sophomore year, instead of the typical Chanel One News coming on the regular news with the horrible coverage came on, it came on just in time for the 2nd plane to hit the 2nd tower. It was very devastating to watch and still is when they show the coverage over and over again like they have been the last couple of days.

Maternity clothes? some shirts and i wear materinity jeans about 90% of the time :)

She was born 8.19.2011 at 8:07am weighing 8lb 12oz and 19.5inches! She is such a precious baby girl! CONGRATS HULL FAMILY!!!!

Hi little one! I THINK I possibly maybe felt you today!!! Just once and it hasn't happened since but I said to myself (and a few others) that this will go in the "baby book" for now the blog. It was pretty awesome and I was/am VERY excited! I can't wait till you get a little bigger and I can feel you more often! :) :) :)

Well I haven't been on here in FOREVER so I figured I'd try to write something. Nothing really new other than I hate my job, oh wait thats not new! but I can't WAIT till February for POP to get here so I can be D.O.N.E. with this place!! YAY! Only about 6ish more months!!!

I do have some new pics of you little POP!! You were SO CUTE waving at your Gamma! You are already the cutest baby EVER of course! I will try my hardest to get those up tonight! So really it will be more like in 2 weeks :)

I also have pics of your Aunt Stephie's bridal shower! It was so fun but a lot of work for your mama! She got some great stuff, lots of cooking stuff so she can cook for Uncle Britt! HAHAHAHA! Those pics will come fairly soon too! :)

Look how fat my mom looks in this dress!!! HOLY MOTHER THERESA! She is going to look like a hippo! Hopefully the photographer will put her hippo self in the back, waaaaay backity back of all the pictures! It's sideways, whatever I'm just a fetus and I don't know how to fix it!

big pants!

Today I'm wearing my first pair of maternity jeans! They are faaareaking awesome! I bought them on super sale on babysteals.com! Maternity clothes are EXPENSIVE! I got these for $35 I think and they are normally like $80ish I think! Anyway SO comfortable! and CUUUUUTE! Yay bebe you don't have to be squished anymore!! :)

Here is the bebe! His/her first picture was taken on June 29th s/he looks like a little teddy bear! :) The heart beat was strong and was 164bpm! Maybe that means girl!? I LOVE her(him)!!! :)

The bebes likes and dislikes so far.....

Today I am 5 weeks and 6 days!!! The bebe(s) already have some strong dislikes!

Coffee or anything similar (which I guess is good since I'm not supposed to have it!)
pineapple-so sad :( I love pineapple in the morning!!
basically any fruit! doesn't make me sick but definitely doesn't taste very good!
envelope glue-she will be barfing on her Aunt Stephie as soon as she's born!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY

I'm WAAAAAY behind! But on Memorial Day 2011 I got a positive test!!! WOOHOOO!!!!! I went to the doctor Amy for my pregnancy confirm appointment and she gave me a ton of "reading" material and scheduled me for my next appointment on June 29th! I will have a bunch of blood work done, and get to see the heartbeat or heartbeats :) yep! there could very possibly be 2!! Even better! I'm SO EXCITED!!! We told my mom on Wednesday and Tyler's dad and mom yesterday! They were all very excited! :) We'll tell my dad soon, once he gets back from California! So far my due date is either Feb. 10th or 11th, but we'll know more at the big ultrasound! :) I'm so excited to be pregnant with one of my best friends! Her baby will only be a couple months older than ours so they will be BFFs! :)

BOWS!!!

I <3 bows!! BIG BOWS! For little girls and babies! They are typically called "Over the Top" or "Texas Sized" bows. I can't WAIT till all the little girls in my life are born so they can wear them! I have been a bow making fool lately and so has my BFF Stephanie! I'm going to attempt to load some of my favorite bow pics! I think I've made a total of 10-15ish.
